Media Center Rules
Dear Parent(s),
Soon your child will be checking out books from our media center. She/he will be checking out books and bring them home for one week. Mrs. Strobel, the librarian, has discussed the proper care and handling of the library books with the children. Please go over these procedures with your child. Our library collection consists of many beautiful books and it is especially important that these procedures be followed.
- Keep the book(s) at home in a special pace.
- 2Keep the books up high out of reach of younger children and pets.
- Enjoy reading the book using care and clean hands and away from food and drinks.
- Carry the book TO AND FROM SCHOOL IN A BACKPACK OR TOTE BAG. (Check your water bottles so they do not leak).
- RETURN THE BOOK ON TIME. Books may be returned any day of the week, but are DUE BACK (1 week) on your child’s library day. (i.e. If Monday is your child’s library day the book is due back the following Monday OR EARLIER).
- If the books are not returned by library day a new book CAN NOT BE CHECKED OUT.
- If a library book is damag3ed or lost replacement costs WILL be charged. You and your child MUST correct this situation BEFORE checking out another book.
Please help make this a FUN EXPERIENCE. Happy Reading!!!
Thank You,
Ms. Strobel
